Storyboard artist Jay Oliva gave fans another glimpse of what could be with his artwork depicting an encounter between Affleck’s Batman and Joe Manganiello Deathstroke. Deathstroke is seen holding his sword ready to fight. In the reflection of the sword, Batman Affleck is clearly visible. Whether they are meeting for a small discussion or for a fight we may never know. You can see the artwork below.
Manganiello played Deathstroke in Justice Squad, with plans to take on the role through multiple DC Extended Universe projects. Manganiello has previously spoken about what happened with Deathstroke and his hopes for the future.

“Once [Affleck’s] Batman canceled, I kind of crossed it out and thought, “This is over,” Manganiello said Entertainment tonight last year. “I had actually switched gears and started working in the studio on an original Deathstroke but that didn’t happen either. So for me, I just let it go. And then a couple of weeks ago before Justice Squad staged [in 2017]I got a call from one of the executives who said, “By the way, we re-set the scene and eventually came back to announce Justice League 2. “
The actor also touched on the possibility of bringing Deathstroke to a new series on HBO Max. While appearing at the virtual event JusticeCon, Manganiello sent in a question about where he’d like to see Deathstroke pop up again if given a choice. He was quick to express his interest in the HBO Max broadcast series.
“The origin of Deathstroke as a series on HBO Max,” Manganiello said. “Sure. I think it will be a fun series and people will absolutely love it and there is not much like it right now. It will have its own character and its own place within the universe. I think it will be very interesting and very unique.”
It’s not clear what the future of Manganiello will be as Deathstroke, assuming he ever has one. on one hand, peace maker He made a great leap from the movie to the HBO Max solo series.
